This course was a great way to get a handle on in & out of network billing. I had no idea that dealing with insurance payers could be so difficult. I’m thankful for Donna and Annie for trying to better our profession by showing us the ropes in billing.
Ashley Feeley, IBCLC

Donna is an IBCLC who is happy to share her enlightening education and empowering support on various aspects of lactation. Donna has worked in two private practice settings as an IBCLC and since 2005 Donna’s primary job has been in-patient lactation and prenatal class instructor at a busy Family-Centered Maternity Unit in Pennsylvania. Prior to her full-time work, she was also the Office Manager in her husband’s Chiropractic office where she first learned about coding and billing. When the Affordable Care Act rolled out, she felt compelled to become a guide to IBCLCs trying to navigate the insurance game.
Donna is the co-author of the current Crash Course on Billing and Coding for IBCLCs. In addition to her full-time job, she teaches 2 online courses offering the 90 classroom hours required for aspiring IBCLCS at the International Breastfeeding Institute and speaks locally and nationally on a variety of lactation topics.
